Girls' Day 2021
With the workshop "Solar Energy from Plastic Films", the OPV working group participated in Girls' Day 2021 and thus presented new concepts of efficient organic solar cells to tomorrow's female researchers.
ISOS 2019 at KIT
From October 7 to 9, 2019, the conference "12th International Summit on Organic and Hybrid Photovoltaics Stability (ISOS)" was hosted at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, focusing on the exchange of information on the stability of organic and perovskite solar cells. It was organized by the OPV group.
KIT in the City Hall 2018
From January 26 to February 05, 2018, KIT will present current research in the field of energy at the Karlsruhe City Hall. In addition to lectures, there will also be an exhibition where we present our work from OPV. For more information, please visit the homepage of the Center for Applied Cultural Sciences.
Hannover Fair 2017
At this year's Hannover Messe we were present at the KIT booth (hall 27, booth H51) with new exhibits on organic photovoltaics. We would like to thank all visitors and helpers.
The model of Mies van der Rohe's Farnworth House (scale 1:50), produces its own electricity with semi-transparent organic solar modules. These are embedded in various parts of the façade and thus continuously generate energy.
The "Solar Glasses" on display are self-powered by organic solar cells integrated into the lenses of the glasses. This not only saves the space and weight of the battery, but also effectively uses the largest surface available on a pair of glasses for the first time: the lenses.
